My name is Annika Grassl and I am from Eagan, Minnesota, a suburb of the Minneapolis-Saint Paul metropolitan area. I will be beginning her senior year at Drake University in the fall of 2016 where I am a double major in Public Relations and Law, Politics, and Society. After receiving her masters in international public policy, I hope to use these critical thinking skills to benefit her work with international nongovernment organizations, focusing on inclusive education. I have interned in Washington, D.C. once before during the summer of 2014 as an intern on the Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions Committee. I am excited to learn from the knowledge and experience of those at IONA Senior Services as I work on the Coalition for Long Term Care and Senior Advisory Council until the end of July.
