October 2, 2024- The Workforce subcommittee of the DC Coalition on Long Term Care met to discuss current pieces of legislation to address the healthcare workforce crisis, including the Certified Nurse Aide Amendment Act of 2024, which passed unanimously on October 1, 2024. This legislation has been a priority of the Coalition and was formerly titled the Direct Care Worker Amendment Act.
