The DC Long Term Care Coalition proudly presents its Annual Report for 2017. In 2017, we celebrated another successful year of Services My Way, a program the Coalition began advocating for in 2001. The program continued to grow, with more than 400 individuals enrolled in the program at the end of the year. An additional 200 applications are currently being processed. Additionally in this past year, the Coalition has:
- Provided continuous advocacy for the inclusion of home delivered meals in the EPD Waiver program;
- Provided public testimony and participation in the process of implementing a Program of All-Inclusive Care (PACE) in Wards 7 and 8;
- Continued efforts to develop the District’s first employee-owned home health care cooperative.
In 2018, we anticipate the release of the final version of the Nursing Assistive Personnel (NAP) regulations, which have been almost ten years in the making. We celebrate these accomplishments and will continue to strive towards goals we have not yet achieved with relentless dedication.
